How to Refill Hong Dian Black Forest Fountain Pen

This is the Hong Dion Black Forest Extra Fine Nib fountain pen. If you bought it from Amazon it may have come to you without instructions on how to refill the ink so I’m going to show you how to put ink into this pen using cartridges and an inkwell.
I’ve been using the Parker inkwell mainly because getting these cartridges into the pen and pushing them down hard enough to break the seal on the ink felt like I was going to break it so, I decided not to use these and to use the inkwell instead.
Refilling the Hong Dian Black Forest Fountain pen with new ink is easiest when using an ink well, instead of a cartridge. When refilling, make sure the Vent Hole (Breather Hole) on the nib is submerged in the ink before turning the knob to fill the ink reservoir. Here is a great fountain pen diagram for reference.
